Which Instrument to Use?

Each NMR spectrometer in the PMRC Core facility is tailored to support specific applications with their equipment configurations and time allocation rules optimized accordingly. These are our recommendations for different types of sample analysis that our users can carry out with a range of spectrometers:

Solution-State NMR

For samples that are available at > 5 mg:

1D 1H NMR: AVQ-400 , JEOL-400, NEO-500, and NEO-501.

2D NMR: NEO-500, NEO-501, AV-600, and AV-700

13C NMR: NEO-500, NEO-501, and AV-600. You can also the AVQ-400 or JEOL-400 if sample is available at > 10 mg.

19F NMR:  AVQ-400, JEOL-400, NEO-500, NEO-501, and AV-600

31P NMR  AVQ-400, JEOL-400, NEO-500, NEO-501, and AV-600

For samples that are available at < 5 mg

1D 1H NMR: JEOL-400, NEO-500, NEO-501, AV-600, and AV-700

2D NMR: NEO-501, AV-600, and AV-700

13C NMR: NEO-501, AV-600

19F NMR: JEOL-400, NEO-500, NEO-501, and AV-600
